  • North Charleston office (Hospital exit Hwy 78 off I-26) at Trident Hospital

    Charleston Neurology is located immediately off of I-26. Merge onto US-78 E via exit 205B toward US-52. Turn right at the first right at the stoplight onto Medical Plaza Drive. Continue past the hospital and Charleston Neurology is located in the Medical Arts Building directly on the right. Parking is free, and Charleston Neurology is located on the 3rd floor in suite 310.

  • West Ashley office (Hospital exit off I-526) at St. Francis Hospital

    From I-26, take I-526 East to Exit 11B to Ashley River Rd/Hwy 61 and merge onto Paul Cantrell Blvd. Turn left on Magwood Drive. Turn left on Henry Tecklenberg Drive. Parking is free and Charleston Neurology is located on the 2nd floor in suite 204.

    Please be advised that we are only scheduling appointments at our West Ashley office on Wednesday afternoons with Dr. Lucas. We will increase our hours at this location as patient demand increases.

Dr. John Plyler

Dr. Plyler graduated from the Medical University of SC (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, in 1984. He completed his neurology residency at MUSC in 1989 and stayed on as faculty for 2 years. He joined Charleston Neurology in 1991. Dr. Plyler is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and subspecializes in neurovascular disorders.

Dr. John Lucas

Dr. Lucas graduated from the Medical University of SC (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, in 1993. He completed his neurology residency the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in 1998 in Richmond, VA, and immediately joined Charleston Neurology. Dr. Lucas is Board Certified in adult neurology with added qualifications in neurophysiology and subspecializes in neuromuscular disorders.
